Isabel is a social and political scientist. At CPC Analytics, she works as a policy analyst supporting the establishment of the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence in Berlin. She holds a Bachelor in Human Geography from Humboldt University Berlin and a Master in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Throughout her studies and career, she has focused on conflict dynamics around space and resources, (“natural”) disasters, humanitarian emergencies, gender equality and decolonial theory. Her work experience includes working as a consultant for the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), specifically for the Network for International Cooperation in Conflicts and Disasters and the Sector Programme Human Rights. Isabel has experience in working with civil society organisations and is an active member of an international feminist organisation in the field of gender, peace and security.
