Your Tasks

  • Work with all stages of the data science pipeline: fetching, cleaning, processing, visualization, analysis, and communication of findings, as well as further data transformation and enrichment methods.
  • Work directly with client organizations, conducting analyses on global health initiatives, understanding financing flows and other aggregate data, and assessing implications of decisions made by policy actors.
  • Offer technical expertise in quantitative analysis across diverse projects.

Your profile
The technical nature of the position is one of frequent collaboration paired with periods of focused solo work. You will enjoy this job if you are comfortable working independently, methodically, and diligently, but also as truly enjoy working in a team. The following aspects will help you to succeed during your professional year with CPC Analytics:

 

  • You have ample experience working with R (tidyverse, Shiny) and Github and are comfortable researching new packages and exploring documentation.
  • You have an analytical mindset and feel at home performing quantitative analysis. You can derive insights from often messy data sources.
  • Like us, you know that understanding a policy problem from a quantitative perspective can be a lengthy process. You enjoy investing time into this and keeping up your motivation during pre-analysis tasks such as data fetching (downloading/ scraping/ API), cleaning, and processing.
  • You have experience portraying information from large datasets in the form of graphic visualizations, going beyond basic static graphs.
  • Strong ability in statistical modeling, Python and its advanced packages (Spacy, NLTK, Gensim) as well as other text analysis (NER, STM, Word2Vec), and working at the command line will strengthen your application, but are by no means 'requirements'. A desire to learn is just as valuable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with global health and economics topics will strengthen your application. Academic research or policy publications in the field are an asset.

Dein Profil

  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung im kaufmännischen Bereich oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
  • Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer ähnlichen administrativen Position
  • Erfahrungen in der Arbeit von Beratungsfirmen und/oder internationalen Organisationen von Vorteil
  • Proaktive, selbstständige und verantwortungsbewusste Arbeitsweise mit gutem Zeitmanagement
  • Herausragende Organisations- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit, ausgeprägte Teamfähigkeit

Desirable profile of applicants:

  • Successfully completed training in the commercial sector or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar administrative position
  • Experience working with consulting firms and/or international organizations is an advantage
