Describing and mapping scientific articles on alcohol globally for the period 2010–2021: a bibliometric analysis

In collaboration with the WHO, CPC Analytics conducted a bibliometric analysis of academic publications on alcohol consumption, governance, harm, and control policies from 2010 to 2021. The analysis found that most research was conducted in high-income countries by authors from these regions, with a predominant focus on alcohol consumption rather than its determinants. These findings highlight a need for more studies in lower-income and middle-income countries to better inform alcohol control policies.
